If you’ve been searching for an easy and healthy breakfast solution (without the added refined sugar) you cannot go past this delicious breakfast muesli!

Your children will love it served with fresh fruit (think strawberries, bananas, coconut!), Greek yoghurt or milk to make it their own creation. What would you top yours with?

Best of all this recipe is something that you can make together in the kitchen. Get your children involved in portioning out the ingredients and mixing everything together. A batch of this muesli will keep in an airtight container too. They’ll love creating their very own breakfast.

Easy breakfast muesli – Serves 6


  • 4 ½ cup rolled oats 
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • ½ cup chia seeds  
  • ½ teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg 
  • 3 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence 
  • 2 tablespoon oil 
  • ½ cup maple syrup 


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees 
  2. In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients until combined  
  3. Add in the wet ingredients and mix until all combined  
  4. Spread out on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 20 minutes making sure to stir muesli every 5 minutes to prevent it from burning in one spot  
  5. Serve with fresh fruit, milk or your favourite yoghurt.
