Westmead
Early Learning Centre (6 weeks – 3 years)

We would like to invite you to visit our new Early Learning Centre, a brand new extension of Westmead Early Education Centre.  Come and see our fantastic facilities in our beautifully renovated period cottage that is uniquly designed for babies and toddlers, and is just next door to our Preschool Centre. Our Early Learning Centre has its own dedicated protected environment and Early Childhood Educators, however when ready, the children have opportunities to interact with the older children and transition to the Preschool Centre.

In consultation with a team of Early Childhood professionals we have designed a warm, safe and stimulating ‘home like’ natural environment in accordance with the new National Quality Standards. As research has shown, we believe that the ages of 0-3 years are proximal for early education and development and have designed a facility and program accordingly with an array of developmentally appropriate experiences; small group sizes; and, high educator/ child ratios.

Our caring Early Childhood Teachers and Educators place an emphasis on developing positive and trusting relationships with the children and their families, and encourage family feedback and participation continually in our programs.

Sending my son to Westmead Early Education Centre was honestly the part of returning to work that I was most happy with. He started attending one day a week at 8.5 months of age, and began full time at 10.5 months when I returned to work. I had inspected 5 other centres, and hands down Westmead Early Education Centre was the most impressive, and has proven to be a great decision. Every aspect of the centre is well thought out, and money is obviously reinvested back into improvements. I love that the outdoor play areas are so natural, green, and interactive. My son has developed a lot since he started, he has acquired new skills and developed in leaps and bounds socially. The staff are wonderful and my son is well-loved by his carers. It is clear that he loves coming to WEEC - he happily jumps into his carer's arms of a morning! I can't speak highly enough of WEEC!
