Ann-Marie Abdilla

Ann-Marie is an experienced Early Childhood Professional who commenced working in the child care industry in 2001. Ann-Marie is an Early Childhood teacher who completed a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) from the University of Western Sydney in 2006.

Ann-Marie gained experience in a variety of Early Childhood settings catering for children aged 6 weeks to 12. She discovered her passion lay with teaching children in their early years, and in particular the process of “transition to school” from an early childhood setting.

In June of 2009 Ann-Marie became the Director of Westmead Early Education Centre. Over the following three years she gained experience, and grew her impressive knowledge base in the management and maintenance of a ‘High Quality Early Childhood Teaching Centre’.

In October of 2011, Ann-Marie accepted the promotion to become the Director of Northmead Early Education Centre. In this position Ann-Marie was involved in the process of the design of the learning environment; the design and creation of an excellent staffing environment (so that we could attract the best); and the creation of an overall Early Childhood Learning and Care environment where the children can feel safe, secure and happy in the commencement of their journey of “life long learning”.

Ann-Marie has always had a passion for working with children, and feels honoured and amazed at being a part of watching them grow, learn and discover.

Ann-Marie believes that all children are entitled to and deserve to be apart of a High Quality Child Care Education Service. She believes children with additional needs should be given every opportunity to learn and develop and would one day like to further her studies and complete a degree in Special Education.

Ann-Marie feels that to have a successful Service you must create a friendly, happy and welcoming environment for children, families and staff.
