In the 2 1/2 years I have been working at CEEC, I have been part of an inspirational, respectful, and cohesive team that prioritises relationships with the children, the families and each other. It is these relationships and connections that form the base of our quality curriculum; from individualised experiences that target the goals of specific children, to learning opportunities that support children’s investigations and explorations through play and project work.

Our flexible rituals and rhythm of the day are supportive of children’s agency and sense of belonging across the centre community. I am proud to share my experience working as an educator at Westmead Early Education Centre. Receiving a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, in 2021, I was then inspired to enhance my knowledge of child development by undertaking a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

I am proud to say I have worked at the SEEC centres over the last eight years, starting as a trainee in Northmead and moving up to a team leader here in our Cheltenham centre. 
 
Throughout my eight years I have completed my Diploma with the guidance of our educational leader Melissa and have gained a wealth of knowledge through many varied provided professional development opportunities ranging from my interests such as sustainability and how I as an educator can be more respectful to our infants learning more about the RIE philosophy.

Working in SEEC for many years has given me a great opportunity to grow my knowledge in Early Education. For the past few years, I have been entrusted with opportunities and responsibilities, helped me accelerate my growth.

The work culture in SEEC has always been nurturing. The entire team, including the manager, director and team leaders, are always ready to help, be it work-related or you are just feeling down due to the current state of the world.
